When you own a business, image is really important.  The right image brings business.  Honestly I wish people could just see our hearts, and then worry about image later, but that’s just not the case in this world.  1 Samuel 16:7 says, “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees;[a] for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”  So God looks at the heart, but we people need to see the image.  We’ve been a Murrieta Chiropractor for over 10 years, and it used to be that you could throw up any old website, much like a billboard along side the freeway, and it would attract business.  But not anymore.

A website can be the single most important advertising tool for a business.  It is for us, and Google pretty much has the final say as to “who gets to the top of the Google search”.  If you don’t know, this single thing, getting to the top (again, such a worldly perspective), and staying there, makes the difference between the phone ringing and not ringing, in a single day.  If Pure Chiropractic drops down to #3 or #4, we feel it.  People like who is at the top, even if they don’t know them.  Right?  When I’m doing a search for something, let’s say, “copper rain chains”.  I would type that into Google and I tend to shop around the top of the first page.  In my mind, they do the best business and must be reputable because after all, they are at the top!  I’m not going to scroll down to the bottom of the second page of names of businesses.  No.  I want a #1 business to buy from!  There are many things Google looks at to keep a business at the top.  First off they send what are called spiders or crawlers, through websites scanning and searching for back links to other sites.  Then there are things like back links (note all the back links I created in this post, that point directly to, SEO, clean websites, key words, and the like.  It all makes my head spin honestly.

All of this to say, we had a new website built.  Ok, it just took me about 2 seconds to type those words but I can honestly tell you the process has been something else!  Of course our friend Travis did it for us, just like he helped me with homehatchery.  But, is a Word Press blog.  It’s not from scratch, so to speak., is a hand built with code, “from scratch” website.  Travis designed it from the ground up, and put the things in it that we wanted, as opposed to a theme that you’re sort of locked into when you start a simple blog (website) from a template.  One of the first steps we made in creating our website, was the Home page.  And the single most important thing on that page, is what’s called a “hero image”.

This is Sam and Travis.  Sam is Travis’ friend who came out one day to capture our “hero image” for the Home page of our website.

Here’s my hero, Dr. Becerra, and my girl, Shirl.  Shirleen.  The model!  Apparently blue was the color of the day.  And to think, Dr. B, Shirleen and the Barry White pillow didn’t even call each other to coordinate what there were going to wear!

Down low. . . (in the end, the down low did not render the perfect image shot that would represent who we are)

And up high. . . (this is the one that we used for the Home page.  Husband’s idea!)

And lots of smiles!  Husband’s head didn’t even make it in the picture.  Click here to see the final picture in all it’s fabulosity.

This is very serious business!

Until we move up front to get our staff pictures.  Then it was all about getting our best side, hiding our fat, and flipping our hair.  Jeez, we’re conceited!

Have I mentioned that I’m old enough to be Travis’ mother?  Oh yeah.  I feel old.

And then, there were these.  The ladder trick didn’t really work here.  I don’t know what it is about trying to get a staff photo, Kayla must have a hair on her tongue and yes!  That is neon green gum in my mouth!! We just can’t pull it off.  We suck!

In the end, we made this one into a Christmas card.  I’m sure all the people who received them are completely perplexed as to why we would do that, but honestly, if you can’t see the humor in this picture, I don’t know what to say!  There’s just so much going on and it makes me ask things like, “Why am I such a rebel?” and “What is Kayla thinking?” sort of like Mona Lisa, that one, like she’s thinking something but she just can’t say what.  Then Sherry.  “Why can’t you move your head?”  “Are you really a contract killer and you want to murder me for looking at my nails?”  or how about “Are Kayla and Sherry in cahoots and using mental telepathy to plot a manicure intervention on my behalf?”  or, “What is Dr. Becerra smiling about?”  Ignorance must be bliss when you work with an office full of women!  Poor guy.  See?  See why image is everything?
A picture is worth a thousand words!

Nice pictures you have here. Hope your page can make it to Google first page. Chiropractor procedure is a good business because many people still consider it as the best alternative medicine.

This picture is hilarious! Probably the funniest staff picture of any Murrieta chiropractor!
